📜 Chenla Agathos Infrastructure Manifesto

Toward ethical, composable, and sovereign digital systems in Cambodia and beyond.

Chenla Agathos began building infrastructure not out of ambition—but necessity. Tools that should have served us were bloated, extractive, or built for other people’s problems.

So we started from scratch:

• Self-hosted to ensure sovereignty.
• Federated to avoid lock-in.
• Composably designed so systems could evolve with us.

This isn’t about software. It’s about reclaiming the conditions for meaningful, efficient, and autonomous work.

Every tool encodes a worldview. We choose systems that support transparency, care, and accountability—not obscurity and dependency.

When we host our own tools, we reduce extractive surveillance, reclaim agency, and model alternatives others can adapt.

We avoid monoliths. Each system should do one thing well, interoperate with others, and fail gracefully.

Technology should augment relationships, not replace them. We privilege tools that empower teams to focus, collaborate, and build trust.

• We start small and scale only what proves useful.
• We document openly so others can replicate or remix.
• We listen first—then build.
• We prefer ethically licensed, open-source, and community-supported systems.

We’re not creating a product—we’re cultivating an ecosystem. This infrastructure isn’t ours alone. It’s an invitation:

• To experiment with a better way of working.
• To reduce digital dependency.
• To design systems that serve people, not the other way around.
