SOP: Professional Use of LinkedIn and Other Social Media

This SOP defines what is acceptable when using LinkedIn and other professional social media platforms as a representative of Chenla Agathos Solutions. It is part of our broader effort to support individual growth while maintaining brand coherence, clarity of role, and trust with clients and partners.

Last updated: 2025-07-07

To ensure that employees who use LinkedIn or similar platforms for professional visibility:

  • Accurately represent their role and affiliation with Chenla
  • Avoid creating confusion or brand dilution
  • Receive optional support to improve their profile while remaining aligned

This SOP complements:

This SOP currently applies to:

  • LinkedIn (primary)
  • Facebook Pages with a professional function
  • Telegram usernames, bios, or public profiles (limited)
  • Twitter / X (if work-relevant)
  • Other channels may be added by management as needed

You may maintain a personal profile that reflects your growth and interests. However:

  • If you mention Chenla Agathos in your headline, bio, or banner, you are considered publicly affiliated and must comply with this SOP.
  • Do not represent yourself as an independent consultant unless approved in writing.
  • Do not list your personal phone number or offer freelance availability while employed full-time.
  • Posts and banners should reflect team membership, not solo consultancy.

We encourage team members to:

  • Use high-quality, brand-consistent banners
  • Avoid unbranded or misleading visuals

If you want a customized LinkedIn banner:

  • Message management (CEO or Project Director)
  • Provide your full name, title, and optional specialties (e.g., Tendering, BOQ, Contract Admin)
  • You will receive a PNG export and optional Inkscape file for edits
→ If unsure, use the company-provided default banner.

Approved formats:

  • “QS Engineer – Chenla Agathos Solutions”
  • “Project Assistant at Chenla Agathos Solutions”
  • Avoid standalone titles like “QS Consultant” or “Freelance Cost Planner”

If you are working on a cross-company initiative, your title can include dual affiliations with approval.

Do not add personal business pages, sales numbers, or unrelated side projects to your LinkedIn profile unless:

  • You have written approval
  • It is clearly separated and not perceived as competing or parallel consulting

You are free to post:

  • Reflections on your professional growth
  • Lessons learned through your work
  • Appreciation posts about teamwork, projects, or learnings

Avoid:

  • Claiming company-level deliverables as solo work
  • Public complaints about work situations
  • Criticism of clients, collaborators, or previous employers

This SOP is intended to support—not limit—your personal development. However, repeated violations may trigger:

  • A formal warning
  • Request to remove content
  • Review of employment status in extreme cases

If you're unsure, ask management before posting.

To request a banner:

  • Contact Marcel or Ning via Telegram
  • State your name, title, and any specialties you'd like to display
  • You’ll receive a high-resolution file and brief usage instructions
